RJ Malishka’s kidnapping hit the airwaves on September 18 and Mumbai was in mayhem. The RED FM studio was flooded with calls and messages by anxious listeners and fans from across the city showing their concern about the kidnap of their favourite RJ.
The array of events went thus:
ð RJ Malishka disappears from RED FM studio on Thursday, September 18…
ð Frantic calls to her cell phone and her landline didn’t help
ð Two hours after Malishka’s disappearance, RED FM receives a call from an unidentified man
ð He informs RED FM that he has abducted Malishka and he will torture her without water or food unless Mumbaikars successfully complete a ‘dare’!
ð Knowing the zeal and zest of Mumbaikars, RED FM was flooded with calls from fans and anxious listeners ready to do anything to save their favourite RJ
ð The unidentified man challenged Mumbaikars to stand near the ticket counter of Cinemax, Versova and beg for money to buy movie tickets for themselves
ð After many unsuccessful attempts by numerous people, Dipesh Sampat, a banking assistant, was the man who managed to complete the dare successfully. After a lot of persuasion and desperate appeal he managed to beg enough money to buy a ticket for himself and win the dare.
The notorious and sadist abductor is unsatisfied despite the listeners successfully completing his dare … and now he is on the prowl…he wants more…
