The Multi System Operator (MSO) Alliance has expanded with the joining of two new MSOs – DigiCable, headed by JS Kohli and DEN (Digital Entertainment Network), headed by Anuj Gandhi.

DigiCable and DEN, join existing Alliance Members IndusInd Media & Communications (part of the Hinduja Group), headed by Ravi Mansukhani, WWIL & Indian Cablenet (Essel–Zee Group), headed by Deepak Chandnani and Ashok Nag respectively, Hathway, headed by K. Jayaraman and SCV Networks headed by Vittal K.

The MSO Alliance, a registered Trade Association has been looking after the interests of the organized cable television distribution industry for the past four years. It works actively with the Union Government and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), to bring about fair and equitable regulation in this sector which currently reaches out to 78 million Cable homes and has an annual growth rate of around 18% to 20%.

Ashok Mansukhani, President, MSO Alliance says, "The Alliance constantly strives towards the fair and equitable regulations for those involved in the Cable industry. The TRAI and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting are currently working upon several of our recommendations. The new members will serve to strengthen and unify our voice." Looking to further expand its base, "the MSO has also invited several other forward looking MSOs to join the Alliance" he added.
