Royal Cruiser, Eastern India’s premier luxury surface transport operator, has added service, three new destinations. Recently Royal Cruiser has started its luxury Volvo bus services to Haldia and Puri. Another new service, connecting Kolkata and Mayapur, has begun operations from August 15, 2008. While the Haldia service is expected to boost the business traveler, joining Puri and Mayapur will be a boon for the religiously and culturally inclined traveler.
Inaugurated in September 2006, with just four Volvo buses, Royal Cruiser today boasts of a fleet strength of twenty and still growing. This unique luxury service is a product of joint partnership between Kolkata based logistics and multimodal transportation company, Kaushik Logistics Private Limited and the West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation.
Travelers can enjoy a three hour luxury surface transport experience on their way to Haldia. This is a daily service and leaves Kolkata at 7.45 A.M. The return from Haldia is at 5.15 P.M.
The Puri service is an overnight journey with a halt at Bhubhaneswar. Royal Cruiser Puri service leaves at 8.00 P.M. and reaches Puri at 6.00 A.M. the next day. From Puri, the service starts at 7.00 P.M. and reached Kolkata at 6.00 A.M. the next day.
The Mayapur service, which will commence from August 15th, will be a early morning service, at 6.30 A.M. The return journey will start from Mayapur at 4.00 P.M.
Royal Cruiser’s fleet comprises of Volvo B7R built with state of the art technology embedded with values of quality & safety for passengers and concern for environment. Fully air-conditioned, these Volvo buses are Euro-III compliant. Inspired by the business class on airplanes, the journey by road with Royal Cruiser becomes memorable. The mission is to reduce average travel time by several hours and even complete the journey faster than a train.
