Alcatel-Lucent has been dedicated to development of the WiMAX 802.16-2005 (Rev-e) ecosystem through Interoperability testing (IOT) under its Open Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) program. ZyXEL MAX-206M2 and MAX-216M1 completed the rigorous testing program and met all required interoperability and quality standards. The Alcatel-Lucent SIACS ensures the interoperability of ZyXEL's WiMAX products and assures telco operators and service providers of ZyXEL WiMAX products' quality and performance.

The ZyXEL MIMO residential gateway MAX-206M2/MAX-216M1 supports the throughput up to 30 Mbps to provide users with seamless broadband wireless connectivity. Supporting SIP-based VoIP signaling, MAX-206M2 and MAX-216M1 are suitable for IP telephony service deployments. Combined with TR-069 and OMA-DM protocols, MAX-206M2 and MAX-216M1 facilitate the remote management of operators during deployment and operational stages to reduce management costs. This also differentiates ZyXEL from other WiMAX equipment vendors.
