Yahoo! Strengthens India Leadership under New Managing Director Arun Tadanki

Yahoo! India announced the appointment of Arun Tadanki as Managing Director with the mandate for expanding and consolidating business also in sub continental Asia, Middle East and Africa and building on Yahoo!’s leading market position in this region. Arun will be based out of Delhi and report to Keith Nilsson, senior vice president, Emerging Markets. He will be responsible for continuing the momentum of Yahoo! India and its industry leading properties, which include the nation's most visited front page with over 3 million unique visitors per day (source: Comscore March 2009), and #1 positions in Mail, Movies, Messenger, News and Cricket.

In addition, Arun will pilot Yahoo!’s business in the larger Indian subcontinent, Middle East and Africa towards stronger growth.

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Arun was President-Asia-Pacific & Middle East Monster.com, where he was responsible for all aspects of the business. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai (1990) and earned an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1992).
