Shaken but undaunted by the terrible accident they faced, the Services rowing team was back in action practising for their National Games event barely 12 hours after some of their key players were injured in a bus mishap.

On Monday, three Services rowers practised at the Deepor Bheel, the venue for their rowing event, after some of their players were severely injured Sunday when their bus turned turtle on its way to the Games Village.

'Three of our rowers ­ Prashant Mishra, Sachin Chauhan and Baldev Singh ­ went for practice today. We are expecting eight gold medals but our performance is likely to be affected by the absence of those players who cannot participate,' said coach Jagbir Singh, who too was injured.
