Chowrasia wins inaugural Indian Masters golf title

India's Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia won the inaugural $2.5 million EMAAR-MGF Indian Masters by two stroke at the par-72 Lodhi Course Delhi Golf Club here Sunday.

The Kolkata-based 29-year-old golfer made history by becoming the first man to win a European Tour event held at home. The tournament was co-sanctioned by European Tour and the Asian Tour.

Chowrasia shot a flawless five under par 67 in the fourth round for a total of nine under 279. Two-stroke behind Chowrasia was Irishman Damien McGrane, who shot two under par 70 for a total of seven under par 281. Spaniard Jose Manuel Lara was third at par 72 for a total of five under par 283

Among another Indians in fray, Digvijay Singh was tied fourth and Gaurav Ghei was tied sixth.
