From correspondents in Delhi, India, 04:02 PM IST

Delhi golfers Aditya Singh and Kapil Kumar will compete with some of the top amateurs of the golfing world when they tee off at the Swiss Amateur Golf Championship at the prestigious Crans Sur Sierre GC in Geneva Thursday.

The two youngsters - Aditya is 21 and Kapil 16 - will represent the National Capital Region (NCR) and earned their entries after coming second and third at the NCR Cup and Delhi state championship held at the Delhi Golf Club last October.

The winner of the tournament Raashid Khan, who had originally qualified for the event, cannot participate due to other commitments in Japan.

The prestigious Swiss Amateur Golf Championship is being played at the Crans golf club which hosts European PGA Tour's European Masters event every year.

The tournament will be played over 72 holes in four days and will have more than 80 top golf amateurs from Europe participating.

'I am really excited about competing against the best amateur players in Europe,' said Aditya.
