Former footballer Chandan Singh Rawat, who was part of the 1951 Asian Games gold winning squad, passed away in Darjeeling Thursday.

Rawat was in his 80s. He was also a part of the team that took part in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952.

He played for East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Rajasthan Club in Kolkata in 1950s.
