India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahamas partner Mark Knowles edged past Americans pair Mardy Fish and John Isner, 7-5, 6-7 (5),12-10, to advance to the semi-finals of the $2,615,000 Cincinnati Masters.
Wildcards Fish-Isner, who upset fifth-seeded Jonas Bjorkman and Kevin Ullyett in the second round, went down to fourth-seeded Bhupathi-Knowles at the hard court event here Thursday.
Bhupathi and Knowles thus have entered the semi-finals for the first time since they finished runners-up to Spaniards Rafael Nadal and Tommy Robredo at the Monte-Carlo Masters in April.
They will now face top seeds and 2003 champions Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, who beat eight-seeded Polish pair Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-4, 7-6(0).
