AFC Challenge Cup final shifted to Delhi

From correspondents in Delhi, India, 05:30 PM IST

The final and the third-place match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup has been shifted to Delhi from Hyderabad and will be played Wednesday at the Ambedkar Stadium.

AFC officials flew down here from Hyderabad Sunday morning and decided to host the summit clash after inspecting the stadium.

The venue was shifted after incessant rains in Hyderabad forced the AFC to call-off both the matches, which were slated for Sunday.

The third place play-off between North Korea and Myanmar will be played from 4.00pm, followed by the title clash between India and defending champions Tajikistan from 7.00pm.
