India's lower order batsmen fought back to post 313 for eight at stumps on Day Three of the first cricket Test against Australia here Friday.

Harbhajan Singh (54) and Zaheer Khan (35 not out) scored 80 runs for the eighth wicket after a top-order collapse left India struggling at seven for 232. Mitchell Johnson took four for 62.
