India's Somdev Devvarman demolished Alex Kuznetsov of Amercia 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals of ATP Challenger tennis in Aptos, US.

The sixth-seeded Indian will next meet Izak Van der Merwe of South Africa. Izak got the better of Simon Stadler of Germany 6-3, 6-4.

In doubles, Devvarman and Conrad Treat Huey of Philippines lost to top seed Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana of Thailand 6-7 (5), 6-4.
