India all out for 223; asked to follow on in Colombo Test

Sri Lanka asked India to follow on after bowling them out for 223 in the first innings on the fourth day of the first cricket Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground here Saturday.

India trails by a huge 377 run margin.

Muttiah Muralitharan (5-84) and debutant Ajantha Mendis (4-72) plotted the downfall of famed Indian batting line-up.

Overnight batsmen V.V.S Laxman (56) reached his half-century and was the highest scorer for India.
