A blast shook the busy Fort area in the Sri Lankan capital Monday. There were no details of human casualties.

The blast took place around 12 noon at Malwatte Road, a few hundred metres from the Colombo Fort railway station. The impact of the explosion damaged three vans and two cars, police said.
